Track and Field at Harry Ainlay “runs” both during the indoor and outdoor seasons. During the cold winter months, Ainlay students will train and compete at the Butterdome located on the UofA campus in a few select competitions. Once the snow melts and the fields dry, the Ainlay track and field program moves outdoors. During this season, students have the opportunity to compete against other high schools athletes across Edmonton and Alberta. Ainlay students, both male and female, can compete in all common outdoor track and field events from the fast paced 100m sprint, to the high flying pole vault competition. The outdoor season comes to an end with the ASAA Provincial Track and Field Championships held during the first weekend in June each year. Come out, and be a part of this year’s Ainlay Track and Field team.
“Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it.”
